Casting-machines; metal, pouring.-In apparatus for making strips, foil, sheets, or ribbons, of the type in which molten metal is taken up by a rotating body from a vessel, the metal is supplied to the vessel at its lower part and is maintained free from disturbance by being kept at a constant level. In the arrangement shown, the vessel 3 is supplied from an auxiliary vessel 2 having an overflow 5 to enable a constant head to be maintained. A ball-cock may be used for this purpose. A fixed or floating body 8 may be located near to the point of delivery.
