Abstract
25,375. Pearmund, H. S. Nov. 1. Forcing liquid into gas; mixing and agitating apparatus.-In aerating - apparatus of the type in which the liquid is sprayed through a chamber supplied with gas, the gas inlet is arranged at the bottom of the chamber, and the gas rising through the already aerated liquid is mixed therewith by agitators. Liquid is sprayed into the chamber a through filters c, and gas is supplied through a circular perforated pipe d. Baffles g with perforations g<2> in staggered relation are carried by a tubular rod f, which is reciprocated on a fixed rod f<1> by a cam-wheel l, operated by a rack h carried by the piston of the liquid pump, and acting through a bell-crank lever m and link m<3>.
