Abstract
19,225. Chittenden, E. R. Aug. 16. Hooks, spring.-A spring hook is made of two similarly-shaped parts placed one upon the other so that a hollow shank is obtained, inside which lies the spring. Fig. 1 shows one form in which the spring 7 engages a sliding block 5 which closes the hook, Fig. 5 showing the hollow shank 2 in section. Fig. 4 shows another form in which the block 5 forms the end of a pivoted arm 10 urged by a coiled spring 7, as shown, or by a flat spring.
