Kinematograph apparatus. - T o allow for transverse expansion and contraction of the film, the perforations B on one side are made to fit the pins E tightly, and the perforations C on the other side are made to fit the pins F loosely in a transverse direction, so as to allow expansion from, or contraction towards, the edge B. If a film with the ordinary perforations is used, the pins J on one edge are made to fit the perforations tightly, and the pins K on the other edge are made to fit them looselv in the transverse direction. Pairs of rollers N, N<1> and N<2>, N<3> above and below the gate serve to prevent a wide film from cockling, and also serve to restrict fire to the piece of film actually in the gate.
