Boots and shoes, appliances for putting on.-A button-hook, whereby boots and shoes may be buttoned without stooping, comprises a long hollow stem b, Fig. 3, having a hook c connected thereto by a curved neck d, the plane of the hook c, Figs. 5 and 7, being inclined to the stem b at an angle x of about 60 degrees, and the axis of the hook is inclined at another angle y of from 15 to 30 degrees to the plane of the bent neck d. The stem b may nave a shoe-horn at the other end ; and the part d adjacent to the hook c may be inserted into the tag of a boot for pulling it on to the foot.
