Washing-machines with rollers and brushing- apparatus.-Clothes are cleansed by passing them between a rotary self-feeding cylindrical brush and a resiliently-mounted corrugated roller. The brush core 21 is radially perforated and supplied with detergent from a reservoir 34, and is supported in slots formed in a pair of end frames 11. The roller 41 is carried by a pivotally-mounted yoke 43, which is drawn towards the brush by springs 45. Extensions 12 of the frames support a bar 13, which partly takes the weight of the garments as they are passed through the machine. Above the brush are arranged wringing-rollers 58 drawn together by spiral springs 59, placed between, and attached to, the roller axles. The frames are provided with pivotal arms 15 carrying clamping-screws 17, by which the machine may be secured to the edge of a tub.
