Abstract
14,680. Parsons, C. A., and Law, A. H. June 17. Coils and conductors, securing. Rotor end windings, more particularly of turbo-generators, are secured by bolts or studs screwed into, or having heads let into slots in the shaft or a hub thereon. Bolts d, Fig. 2, preferably of non- magnetic material, are fixed in slots k by caulking m, and retain the end windings c by means of washers g. The bolt heads may be as shown or may be detachable. In modifications the bolts are screwed in, or are square and are provided with rectangular heads which are admitted into slots o, Fig. 6, by enlarged openings p. Circular bolts may be provided with the form of head shown in Fig. 7. Cotters may be used instead of nuts, and the heads h and slots k may be corrugated.
