Lawn-mowers; lawns and the like, removing leaves and the like from.-A wire or other brush is adjustably mounted in front of a lawn-mower and is driven in the opposite direction to the rotary cutter so as to disperse worm-casts, brush the grass all one way, and remove stones, old grass, &c. The brush spindle e<1> is mounted in adjustable bearings and carries rollers e* at its ends. It may be driven by a chain g from the intermediate wheel d of the driving-gear of the cutter c. The machine may be propelled by manual, horse, or other power.
