Abstract

8465. Vicars, J., Vicars, T., and Vicars, J. April 8. Rolling-machines.-Relates to improvements in the dough-rolling machine described in Specification 24,524/08, and consists in providing a series of independently-operable bars for pressing the dough into the bites of the rollers. As shown in Fig. 1, a number of bars 7 fitted with rollers 10 are slidably mounted in cross-bars 6 carried by arms 4 pivoted to the upper roller 5, and are adapted to be operated independently to press any part of the dough into the rollers, being returned by springs 9. Fig. 3 shows two modifications; that on the left-hand side comprises arms 14 for actuating the bars 7, mounted upon a shaft 18 provided with an operating-lever, and sliding bolts 19, 24, for coupling the arms to the shaft ; that on the right-hand side comprises pivoted spring- retained levers 27 carrying the bars 7. Instead of being attached to arms 4, the bars 6 may be mounted in slides in the framework.
