Waterproofing.-Pieces of leather are waterproofed by placing them in an openwork holder c comprising a series of longitudinal wires c<1> and a series of cross wires c<2>, and immersing the holder in a bath a of waterproofing-material. The holder may be mounted on guide - rods. According to the Provisional Specification, the wires of the holder may be arranged vertically like a comb, and the holder or bath may have means for supporting the holder when raised out of the bath. Also, the holder may consist of a perforated sheet-metal frame.
