Abstract

1571. Wineberg, R. Jan. 21. Foot-clips.-One or more rotatable members 2 are mounted across the tread of the pedal and at a suitable distance above it so that the foot is guided into the clipping position. The rotatable member 2 may be cylindrical and in one piece, as shown in Fig. 2, or concave, or built up of a series of segments; or it may consist of a ball or series of balls. The rotatable member 2, which may be mounted either at right-angles or obliquely to the line of thrust, is preferably mounted on a pin 6 carried by arms 4 secured to the pedal by a pin 7 and provided with slots 5 by which its height can be adjusted. Fig. 4 shows two such members 2 mounted in slots in brackets 4. Fig. 6 shows a form in which the member 2 is mounted on studs 3<a> on the arms 4.
