Abstract

29,349. Stone & Co., J., and Carpenter, E. J. Dec. 15. Commingling jets.-In a sprinkler of the kind comprising opposed or convergent jets and in which the subsidiary jet is obtained by means of a curved duct communicating with the main jet, the subsidiary jet is constructed of a pipe fixed in a lateral aperture in the main jet in such a way that it may be readily removed, the said pipe being bent upwards and downwards as shown in Figs. 1 and 6. The pipe g may be held in place by friction, as shown in Fig. 1, or it may be attached to a flange r, Fig. 6, which is screwed to the main jet. The lateral aperture f may be flared, and the edges of the main jet may be rounded. The area of the subsidiary jet is preferably less than that of the main jet.
