29,003. Hebden, J. Dec. 11. Reaping, mowing, and harvesting machines.- Relates to means for securing knives to the cutter-bar. The knife B is provided with holes b for dowel pins a<1> on the cutter-bar A, and an opening c formed by bevelled lugs d, of which the thickness decreases towards the centre of the opening c. A turn-button d, preferably formed from the piece of metal stamped out of the knife B, is pivoted to a pin fixed to the bar A, and passes through and, when turned, engages the lugs d. The wings of the buttons decrease in thickness outwards, and lies flush with the top of the knife when placed in position.
