Drills, cutters, and cutter-bars. - A tool C, Fig. 6, for use in dressing valve seats is made from a round bar, and is provided at one end with a point or edge B<1> for boring, a straight cutting- edge B<2> for facing, and an inclined edge B' for mitering. The tool is secured in a round hole in a screw cap A, Fig. 2, against a sleeve E on a shank D by screwing the cap on the shank.
