26,226. Maccormac, E. C. Nov. 12. Rotary apparatus. - Rotary and travelling sprinklers are provided with rectangular sprinkling-orifices which are kept clear by reciprocating fingers. Fig. 1 shows a rotating sprinkling - pipe a with orifices l, into which the pivoted fingers d protrude. The fingers are reciprocated by link mechanism c, f connected to a gear-wheel g, which is rotated either automatically by means of the stop i, or by hand. The fingers also serve to vary the direction of the spray.
