26,175. Pope, S. Nov. 12. Melting-pots. - Consists in improvements in apparatus for the production of lead oxide, of the kind described in Specification 11,526/09, [Class 1 (iii), Oxides &c.]. Attached to or formed in one with the oxide pot a are leadmelting pots b adapted to receive block or pig lead c. As the lead melts, it flows into the pot a by openings e, preferably arranged at some distance from the bottom and provided with sliding or rotatable covers so that they may be closed while the lead is being introduced into the chambers b. The chambers b may be of triangular or other suitable shape, and may be vertical or inclined or partly vertical and partly inclined.
