17,697. Schott, L. July 30. Paints.-A waterproof and preservative paint consists of powdered silver, borax, and a vegetable oil such as linseed oil. A pigment may be added. The paint is applicable for treating leather articles such as soles of boots and shoes, as an antifouling paint for hulls of ships, as an anticorrosive paint for metal pipes, and for coating damp walls &c.
