Abstract

15,646. J÷rgensen, H. July 4, 1908, [Convention date]. Ornamenting.-Consists in making imitation leather with an embossed metallic surface by pressing a thin sheet of tin or lead into an engraved mould, varnishing and drying, then filling the indentations with a composition consisting of chalk, pulp, linseed oil, and glue, and covering the composition with a tight layer of leather, paper, &c. The product is then removed from the mould, varnished on the metallic surface, and coated with transparent colours.
