Abstract

12,367. Andrews, H. May 25. Endless-chain push-plate elevators; push-plates, construction of; feeding-devices portable elevators. -In an. elevator of the kind comprising endless chains d connected at intervals by cross-bars b travelling upon runner guides c, which also form a support for the load, the guides c are disposed between the chains, and the antifriction rollers n, upon which the bars b run are arranged to the rear of the centre line of the bars in order that the leading edge b<1> of each may project as it passes round the lower sprocket and form a step that engages the underside of the load. The invention is shown in connexion with a portable handactuated sack elevator, in which the supporting- frame a is pivoted at the upper end to a wheeled strut f held in the desired position by stays.
