Electro-magnetic switches.-A relay forming part of a motor controller consists of a solenoid core linked to a contact-bar which normally rests upon a knife-edge and a contact-stop. When the core rises, the bar tilts upon the knife-edge and its other end is raised into engagement with a second knife-edge and away from the contact. Upon further movement of the core, the bar tilts upon the second knife-edge, and its other end is raised away from the first knife-edge into engagement with another contact.
