Abstract

Crucibles. - In an annular crucible a the central vertical flue b is of such form that the section of the trough on either side of the flue is approximately the same as the section of an ordinary crucible. The Provisional Specification also refers to the use of tubular passages extending across the crucible from wall to wall to facilitate the heating of the metal.
