Spokes, securing and adjusting.-For tightening the spokes of a wheel the hub comprises a part a, Fig. 3, with a screwed sleeve c, a part b with a nut portion d, and a cone e mounted on the sleeve c and provided with lateral ribs f, which take between the butt ends of the spokes. The spokes are held between two rings h, which may be provided with ribs to take between the spokes or may be in a single piece with spoke sockets, and are cramped between the parts a b. The tightening-means may be supplied at the rim.
