Gaseliers.-Means for securing gas - pendant blocks, ceiling plates &c. for outside lamps &c. to matchboard ceilings and facia boards comprises screwed tubes c with which the securing-screws d engage, the tubes c being provided at their lower ends with hinged plates e, which fold together to enable the tubes to be passed through holes f in the ceiling &c. and can then be swung outwards to form flanges for bearing against the top of the ceiling. The plates may be provided with spikes h &c. to engage in the ceiling, and the screws may be provided with hooks or loops for suspending articles.
