Latrines; flushing ; basins and pans; water-waste preventers, protecting from frost.-To prevent damage by frost to cisterns and basins in latrines, a pipef passes from the first cistern b<1> along the row of cisterns, with which it is connected by pipes 9<1>, g<6>, to a cock k, and then, after similar connexion with each of the basin traps, to the soil pipe. Cisterns b<2>, b<6> are not fitted with ball cocks. The cisterns and basins are emptied by openmg cocks k, l, and the supply is cut off by closing a cock j in the service pipe.
