Abstract

4127. Woodhead, F. Feb. 19. Tyres, details and arrangements in connexion with inflation of.-A pump for inflating the tyres of motor-vehicles, and operated by the motor when the vehicle is at rest, is provided with means for operatively connecting it to a driven wheel raised out of contact with the ground. The pump L is provided with a crankbracket C adapted to be clamped to the spokes F of the raised wheel A by hooked bolts G. The piston-rod is secured to the crank D, and the pump cylinder is pivoted at its lower end M tu a rod I pivoted on the crank spindle. The free end of the rod I is connected to an adjustable hanger J, K so as to permit any necessary movement of the rod I should the crank spindle fail to be co-axial with the. wheel. The flexible tube O leads to the tyres.
