Abstract

1249. Mackenzie, J. W., [Wood, O. F.]. Jan. 18. Mechanical toys.-A pictorial toy consists of a base-piece A to which is pivoted on a pin 10 a representation of a human face or other figure. The face is made in four sections B, C, D, E pivoted together by pins 10, 11, 12, 13, the pin 13 passing through a slot in the basepiece and being attached to a slide 14, Fig. 3, so that by operating the slide the sections of the face may be made to assume varying positions with relation to one another. One of the sections B is provided with a hole to represent an eye, and the adjacent section C carries a representation of the pupil.
