935. Pennington, D. J., and O'Brien, E. Jan. 14. Ironing-machines with rollers rotating against concave surfaces. - The roller is raised and lowered by means of lifting-rods D attached to arms C which carry the roller and are pivoted about the driving-shaft b<5>, which is driven from the main shaft b<4> through worm gearing. The rods D are resiliently connected at their lower ends to crank-pins d, one of which is on a disk E adapted to be rotated by a worm e from the shaft t4 through a connecting-pinion F, which may be slid into and out of engagement as desired. The rods D are attached to the arms C by means of eccentrics G, which are rotatable by worm gearing and a hand-wheel g<2> in order to adjust the pressure upon the bed.
