Abstract

25,029. Eisenstein, S. Nov. 20. [Patent of Addition to No. 20,128, A.D. 1907.] Wireless telegraphy.-Relates to receiving-systems for multiplex wireless telegraphy in which the antenna structure is divided into a number of branches as described in Specification No. 20,128, A.D. 1907. The part of the receiving system shown in Fig. 1, comprising the antenna 3, inductance 1, and counterweight 2, is first tuned to the waves of one frequency by adjusting the contacts 6, 7. The contact 8 is then earthed as shown in Fig. 1 and adjusted until a potential node is found in the oscillating system 3, 1, 2. At this point, the receiving system shown in Fig. 2 is connected, and the contacts 13, 14 then adjusted to tune the antenna system as a whole to the waves of the second frequency. The earth-connexion at a potential-node has no influence on the system 3,1,2. A second potential node can be found in the complete antenna system, and a third receiving- circuit tuned to a third frequency can be connected at this point.
