Abstract
23,342. Matthews, J. H. Nov. 2. Golf.-Apparatus for playing clock golf is so constructed that the various parts may be packed together into a readily portable form. A conical liner a for insertion in the putting-hole has a coneshaped bottom b into which a staff c, with a detachable flag portion, is fitted. The lower end of the staff carries a conical shield d adapted to seat on the bottom of the liner. To assemble the apparatus in compact form, the staff c is removed and passed through the base b from the underside as shown in Fig. 2, and the figure disks g (numbered one to twelve or one to twenty-four as the case may be) are threaded on the end of the staff and secured by a pin f or other suitable means. The flag and other accessories such as pegs, ball, tape, brush, and whitening are placed inside the liner. The liner may be cylindrical, and its base may be flat or may be dispensed with altogether ; in the latter case the staff c may terminate in a flanged disk to form a closure.
