Abstract

23,007. MacGahan, P. Nov. 8, 1907, [date applied for under Section 91 of Patents &c. Act, 1907]. Conductors are formed by a process consisting in drawing a core of metallic conducting-material coated with another conducting-material, and then passing the conductor thus formed through an electrolytic bath capable of producing an insulating- coating on the conductor. The core may be made by casting copper into an aluminium jacket and rolling it down, and the electrolytic bath may consist of ammonium borate. The apparatus employed is shown in the Figure.
