Abstract
22,354. Alesbury, H. T., and Hickmott, A. E. Oct. 21. Cots.-The framework of a collapsible cot or hammock stand is foldable in two directions at right-angles, and consists of a pair of X-trames, mounted on castors n and held open by stays m. The frames are held apart by two sets of crossstays each consisting of a pair of bars f, g pivoted to each other at the centre, and to the side frames at f<1>, g<1>. The upper ends of the bars have hooks f<2> to engage pins on the side members and are connected to the same by links i,j. In a modified form of stay, the links i, j have slots to receive pins on the bars f, g. The body r of the cot, which is slung from bars o, p, has wooden ends s constructed in two parts hinged together and held open by a turn-button s<2>. The ends have slots s<1> to engage pins on the stiffeners r<1>, which are inserted into the seams of the cot.
