Blotting-appliances.-A blotter shaped as a roller or segment is provided with a blotting-surface consisting of narrow strips a of blotting - paper mounted on edge longitudinally of the core c. The strips a are glued to a sheet of paper b which is then secured to the core c. In a modification of the roller blotter, the strips are mounted on edge circumferentially of the core. In this form the strips are out out in the form of rings and are held in place on the core by end flanges. A spring i is inserted between the handle h and roller of the blotter.
