Abstract
17,410. Lundberg, A. P., Lundberg, G. C., and Lundberg, P. A. Aug. 19. Switches.-On the cover-plate of the switch is mounted a bridge-piece 4 carrying an operating- lever 3, Fig. 6, the lower end of which has a pin 8 engaging in the slot 5<b> of the contact-carrying part 5. The part 5 is pivoted between the two depending parts of the bridge 4. The pivot consists of two independent pins inserted from opposite sides of the bridge, the length of one pin being greater than that of the other. The contacts 7 are connected by a metal piece 7<a>. Through the lower end of the part 4 is passed a pin 10, carrying a spring 6, of which one end engages the pin 9 and the other end bears against the pin 8, in such a way that, on the tumbler being moved over in one direction, the spring will have such a position that it presses the pin 8 upwards and locks it in its end position, while on the slightest movement in the opposite direction it forces the pin 8 back into the position shown. Fig. 15 shows a modification, in which the switch is operated by two push-buttons 14, connected by links 12 to the switch arms. In this form, the part 4 is provided with a slot 4<f> in which the pin 11 slides, the spring 6 is mounted as in the other form, and locks the pin 11 in its slot similarly to the pin 8.
