Bricks for reinforced brickwork are divided on one broad face into equal parts by means of rectangular, V, or other shaped grooves which form apertures for metal rods when the bricks are laid together in pairs. Short bricks are made by dividing the long bricks at one of the grooves. The bricks are made with a length four times the width, the preferred dimensions being twelve inches by three inches, with a height of three and a half inches.
