Abstract
10,031. Calef, J W., and Osgood, C. May 8. Bottles, non-refillable.-A weight D, Fig. 1, slides between stops f, g on a rod e attached to a valve C, so that when the bottle is inverted the valve receives a jerk and sticking is prevented. The weight is so shaped that, when the bottle is horizontal, the parts i slide against the edge of a tube B so as to close the valve, as described in Specification No. 10,462, A.D. 1904. A baffle E, Fig. 3, having inclined passages j connected by an horizontal passage k, as shown, is inserted above the valve and is locked in place by pins c shaped as shown in Fig. 8. The pins are slipped into grooves p, and, after the baffle is inserted, lock in grooves q, Fig. 1, in the bottle neck. A funnel F is provided above the baffle.
