Abstract

8119. Ross, G. April 13. Bending. - A machine for bending tubes without the use of fillings comprises a framewor k supporting guide - pulleys o, Figs. 1 and 2, adjustable in grooves n, and a sector k with a clamping-yoke p for the tube mounted on a squared portion of a shaft provided with a wormwheel segment operated by hand or power at g. The pulleys o rotate freely on bushes which take the clamping-strain, and the sector k is provided with a detachable portion to permit variation of the groove contour. Additional pieces r, Fig. 7, may be secured to the sector to permit the diameter of the bend to be altered in cases where a number of sectors of different diameters are not provided.
