Abstract
5075. Haworth, E. March 6. Necktie-retainers.-A neck-tie for use with standup turn-down collars carries a plate B, Figs. 1 and 2, a pin a, and two wire arms D secured by a bentover edge b. The arms D are formed with a double coil as shown. The tie is attached to the collar by inserting the pin a into the collar stud A, where it is held by springs, the arms D being bent to engage with the front fold of the collar, as shown in Fig. 5. The arms D may be formed with a single coil. The pin a may be attached to a separate plate which is sewn to the tie together with the plate B.
