1189. Weight, E. W. Jan. 18. Skittles.-In a modified game of skittles, a table 11 is provided with a raised rim 12 and with a cushion 13 at the end remote from the pins 1 ... 9. The ball is played with a cue or otherwise from a spot 10 on to the cushion 13, the object being to cause it to strike, predetermined skittles in running back. Indices 14 ... 18 are arranged in the rim 12, above and behind the cushion 13, to indicate the points of the cushion on to which the ball should be played to obtain certain results. The table is recessed at 19 to enable overturned pins to roll clear of the play.
