Abstract

25,168. Burrows, C. B. Nov. 13. Bottles, non-refillable.-The neck 5, Fig. 1, of the bottle may be tapered internally or made parallel, and a perforated glass disk with slanting holes 8<a> is fixed therein during manufacture. A glass sphere 10 is attached to the disk before it is inserted, either by being lightly stuck on the disk while the glass is plastic, or by means of a wire 13, Fig. 5. Glass projections 12 are formed in the disk to centre the sphere and to direct any liquid passed inwards through the disk on to the sphere. The bottle is filled, and then the sphere is released from the disk by means of a rod or by withdrawing the wire.
