Abstract
22,227. Macrae, J. Oct. 9. Umbrella &c. holders.-An umbrella holder consists of a spring clip A secured to the top rail or back of a chair, or to a wall &c., by a fixing-plate a<3>, and a lower cup or well c<2> supported in a ring C attached to the leg of the chair or to the wall &c. The fixing-plate may take various forms. In a modification, shown in Figs. 7 and 8, the fixing- plate is formed with a slotted pocket or guide a<5> for a plate a<4> at the end of the arm carrying the cup c<2>. The fixing-plate and the end of the arm connecting it with the cup or fork may be inclined so as to correspond with the inclination of the chair leg.
