Abstract

18,391. Hatton, H. C. Aug. 14. Spinning-tackle.-The fins b, b<1> of dead-bait spinners are carried by pivots on V-arms c', c<2> to which the prong a is fixed, and are provided with spikes d, d' which can be struck into the shoulders of the fish. The action of the water keeps the fins securely attached, and stops c<3>, c<4> limit their movement along the arms c<1>, c<8>.
