12,925. Ueland, K. June 4, 1906, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Throwing bands off pulleys.-Relates to a beltthrowing device especially adapted for thrashing- machines. A hollow rectangular stem 2, supported by a bracket 1, carries a sliding sleeve 3 operated by a lever through suitable rods &c. 13, 15. The sleeve 3 carries externally a guide-roller 5, and internally a trip-plate 20 adapted to disconnect a lock-dog 10 through levers 18, 10<b> mounted in the stem 2. In the end of the stem 2 is mounted a pivoted bead 6 carrying a guide-roller 9. This head is normally held by the lock-dog 10 as shown in Fig. 3, but when the sleeve 3 carrying the roller 5 is moved to the right to throw off the belt 12, the locking-device is freed and the roller 9 falls out of the way.
