Abstract
4530. Coles, S. O. Cowper-. Feb. 23. Cements.-Slag cement is made by breaking up slag, mixing it with chalk or lime, and melting it in an electric furnace, such as that described in Specification No. 596, A.D. 1907, [Abridgment Class Electric lamps &c.]. The molten slag is run from the furnace on to a revolving disk, and at the same time it is treated with steam which pulverizes it and converts the sulphur into sulphuretted hydrogen.
