3316. Goodbehere, F. G. Feb. 11. Creel arrangements for spinning, doubling, winding, &c. frames. No wood is employed, the creel being constructed with a number of upright standards A, which are secured to the frame B carrying the roller beams C, and support one or more longitudinal trough-shaped rails or stampings D of sheet steel or iron, to which crossbrackets or stampings E, E<1> are fixed. A stamping G forming the bobbin box is fixed to the top of the standards, and below it are secured longitudinal rails or stampings H with holes h to receive the upper ends of the skewers of the upper row of creel bobbins, the lower ends resting in recesses formed in, or in ordinary pot bearings let into, the cross-stampings E'. The intermediate tiers of creel skewers similarly rest on stampings E<1> below, and pass through holes in stampings E above, and the lower tier rests on longitudinal stampings M secured to an adjustable metal plate K fitting between the beams C, or on cross-bars replacing the plate. The cross-brackets E, E<1> may be carried by separate rails D, and the brackets D may be stiffened at intervals by adjustable brackets N, N<1> from the plate K. The bobbin box is preferably stiffened by stays 0 secured by eye-bolts o, and guide-wires P may be arranged to direct the roving from the bobbins.
