Abstract
29,468. White, F. Dec. 27. Socks are made of a foundation of pure wood pulp combined with felt or other suitable fabric. The wood pulp may be made by a single process into a'board of the requisite thickness ; or it may be made up into paper sheets and a number of them secured together by an adhesive. Felt or other suitable material is then attached to one or both sides of the wood pulp board, and the sosks are cut out. The layers are secured by sewing the edges together. According to the Provisional Specification, socks may be made of wood pulp only. Specification No. 16,942, A.D. 1891, is referred to.
