Abstract
20,631. Lane, F. L., and Leeds Forge Co. Sept. 17. Doors, wagon.-Metallic wagon doors are formed with a strengthening corrugation or hollow ridge e, running all round the door and surrounded by a plain marginal portion f, so that the edges of the doors overlap to make them rain-tight. In the arrangement of doors shown, the upper doors d, d', Fig. 1, are hinged at i, so that the flat portion f, Fig. 2<a>, overlaps the door frame a', and both doors, at their lower parts, overlap the upper part of the lower door d<2>. The upper doors are secured by cotters h<1>, h', and the lower door by collars h.
