13,694. Ashelm, P. June 14 Associating and delivery apparatus.-Relates to apparatus for assembling the leaves for blooks of calendars or tickets &c. from printed sheets. The printed sheet b may be passed from the last printing-cylinder a, as shown in elevation and plan, respectively, in Figs. 1 and 2, through guide-rollers and slitting-disks f by which it is cut into strips g. Each strip passes round one of a row of diagonal turning-bars or loops h adjustably fixed on a slotted support i. The associated strips pass between feedrollers k, l to cutting cylinders or apparatus m, n, the cut-off batches are delivered into the separate pockets of a rotating pocket-roller p by which they are placed, overlapping or adjacent, on a transporting-band q. In the arrangement described, the formes for the successive sheets of a block would require to be staggered on the printing- cylinder, to obtain the superposition of the sheets of each block. The formes, however, may be arranged in longitudinal rows, and the strips g led round a series of guide loops or rollers which are so placed as to increase the distance the successive strips have to traverse before reaching their respective turning-bars h, and so that the sheets are in register when the strips become associated at the rollers k, l.
