Hair-cutting appliances; horse-clippers and the like; hair, removing superfluous; pumicestone and the like.- A process for removing superfluous hair consists in destroying the hair to within one-sixteenth of an inch from the skin by an electric singeing- apparatus, and then removing the rest by means of a pumice-stone or like block or slip. The singeing-apparatus comprises a comb g, Fig. 1, of refractory material and a fine wire l stretched between two terminals e connected to a handle a. The block m, Fig. 3, of pumice may be attached to a suitable handle n.
