Abstract

6608. Guerry, M. L. P. April 3, 1905, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Mixed fabrics.-A flannel-like material is woven with a warp of cotton or other non-shrinking fibre and a weft of silk, filoselle, or silk waste. The fabrics are raised or napped by the ordinary machines on one or both faces, and are suitable for articles of clothing for wear in hot climates. In weaving the fabric, the warp threads are subjected to excessive tension so that the silk weft is securely held and alone appears on the faces of the fabric when the material is relieved.
