Cleansing-compositions.-A combined cleansing and sterilizing agent consists of a salicylate or an equivalent quantity of salicylic acid, together with an excess of an alkaline hydrate in dilute aqueous solution. The composition is especially applicable for use in fermentation industries and for cleansing maltings, hospitals, dairies, &c.
